Towards the end of last week, we were looking more in depth into the foundations of public speaking. We discovered and studied the new concepts of the words: Ethos – the self, establish credibility, establish strong character, community, trust Pathos – evokes emotions: happiness, fear, sadness, anger, “coolness,” etc. Logos - based on logic and reasoning, statistics, things that “make sense” Your Task Today: Over the weekend, your homework was to identify and be able to discuss ethos, pathos, and logos’ role in your life. For today’s blog entry, you are going to explain how these three rhetorical appeals impact you. What to Include:
- The Title/Description of Something with Ethos, Pathos, and/or Logos
- The Medium in which this was displayed (TV Commercial, Speech, Billboard, etc.)
- An Explanation of how Ethos, Pathos, and Logos were present
- An Explanation of how Ethos, Pathos, and Logos impacted this thing

Save the African kids. That commercial was about how the Nigeria people were poor and didn’t have anything. This was Pathos because It made me sad and angry to see those children not being able to bath in clean water . As I watched the commercial they don’t even eat like they suppose to eat. Children their ages are suppose to get a lot of proteins and valiums and they can’t even get that because their parents can’t even afford to feed them or clothe them. Pathos have a impact on this thing because ..looking at that made people want to cry and also thanks their parents for what they have now. It hurts me the most because I really can’t do anything to help.

When i was in 8th grade i told my father that i didn't want to go to school because i had to much homework and that i'm tired of having 5 homeworks a day.My father told me that trust son you think this is hard.Try to do your homework and then after your done make dinner and clean the house and go to sleep on time for school tomorrow everyday.
When i was 14 i always wanted to be outside with my friends i didnt like to be at my house at all. She didnt like me to go out so long and i always did. I always got mad when she was going to said something to me about going outside. So one they i just didnt want to go out or nathing for a long time. my mom asked me why i didnt want to talk about that with her i just told her that im doing what she wanted me to do stay home. It pass a long time and i wanted to go out to my friend house she start talking about not going out. so we there talk about that. She told me that she knew what i was going through that she was like that whne she was little. So we made a deal about going outside when i could go and what time i had to be back.
what makes me sad is when kids make fun of our every day heros...batman and robin. they take them as a huge joke by making up soongs of thenm and when they get to the point of beating up the children or killing them it makes you even more sad because now they children are hurt and afrAID.i think that this is ethos

This commercial makes me feel bad. The animals are abused. This make me feel really bad for hitting my cat one time for climbing up the couch

I remember yesterday i saw a commercial that was talking about the people in africa.That there going through a hard time and if you can give one dollar to this program.You can save the people of africa and can give them hope.
One day me and one of my friends Ashley and I where talk one day and she was very upset. So I asked her what was wrong and she told me her grandfather had just died over the weekend. So I gave her a hug and told her I know how she feel Because I lost my grandfather and never even met one sooo I knew exactly how she felt almost like she was alone in the world.
This is using Ethos.
iv seen an allstate commercial takling about every 3 minutes theres a car accident. thats an example of pathos.when they say (are you in good hands ) thats an example of ethos because there sayin trust them.
My mom told me my grandmom was locked up an we were wondering why she havent wrote us an one day we got a phone call saying, your grandmom is in a coma she was very sick an we went to see her a couple time's the thing was she couldnt move eat go to the bathroom talk or blink she was always stearing at the celling. An we did everything to try an get her home she only had a mounth left to do but they wouldnt let her out then one day we got a call saying she died that was the worst day of my life I was so sad an i havent really kno my grandmom but i would have like too.... R.I.P Grandmom
